About Us

Hi there, I am Kisha, and this is my place to write about the wonderful gift of Daily Beginagains.  We may not get through our days with the grace and kindness we hope, but we can always repent, and wake up to a new beginning the next day.

We are a family of seven, soon to be eight!  Some of our children have extra chromosomes, and have joined our family via adoption, some have been born into it, and one is across the world waiting for us.  Well she probably do not know we are coming for her, but we are!

Our marriage has been anything but easy sailing, we have truly grown through our struggles, and I'm happy to say we are the best of friends.  Over thirteen years we have held on to our vows made as teenagers (well me at 18), and the sanctity of what marriage is.  We believe that God brought us together, and just last year John accepted Christ as his personal savior!  So now we are parents in the Holy Spirit.  Look out evil, two parents on a mission here!

I (Kisha) like to do everything.  Our kids have special circumstances, and I did go to school for teaching, so I teach them at home.  I love great literature, and I'm happy to say that my one fluent reader also loves great literature.  At just nine years old, he reads voraciously, and enjoys the unabridged classics as well as the "potato chip" reads.  I personally love Dr. Seuss, Laura Ingalls Wilder, C.S. Lewis, and the Berenstain Bears....for the younger kids.

I like to try to craft anything, I like to finger paint with the kids, and play board games.  I'm a candy land genius! I like to dig in the dirt (with gloves 'cause worms freak me out), try to garden, tend to my chickens, and love on my goats.

In my spare time...hahahaha...I like to sew, crochet, knit, and bake things.  I have a grain mill and a few hundred pounds of wheat berries, so look out now, you may find a tasty recipe or two on here some time.

My husband is the best dad and man to be married to.  He ain't perfect, but he desires to be a good guy.  You can usually find him on his days off, working on some project.  He's not one to sit still, and is always doing stuff, usually with 1 or 5 children in tow.

We chose the country life, and we have been blessed many times over by the community we have become a part of.  We struggle, we live, we love, and we serve Him.  It's a blessed life, what can I say!
